The “Host Tribe” Tv campaign invites people to think a little harder about what this place means to indigenous people and to notice the links it still carries to Muckleshoot’s Duwamish ancestors.
The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe is a federally recognized sovereign nation composed of descendants of the Duwamish and Upper Puyallup people, located near Auburn, Washington. As Seattle’s host tribe, they are keepers of the regional waterways and uphold treaty rights, maintaining a strong cultural presence in their traditional lands.
