‘Honey’ is ultimately about solving the unsolvable puzzle, the song has many references to water and the Puget Sound, so it resonated as a good location to shoot the video. Director Duncan Sharp, and DP Christopher Bell did a great job of capturing that water vibe.”
“The epic drone footage was all filmed for this project by Duncan’s son Dominic and I’m sure the tanker captain simply loved being buzzed by an unidentified camera drone several miles offshore. As luck would have it, we got our first serious cold snap that evening and the heat was not exactly robust, so the coats were not a wardrobe choice! Ah, Seattle…”
Prior to the video premiere, Farmer tapped friends and collaborators Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie, Tedeschi Trucks), Mark Guiliana (David Bowie, St. Vincent), Matt Flynn (Maroon 5), Ivan Anderson, Leah Siegel and Matthews to assist with The Color That Suits You. Connecting Matthew to the project once again, Stanfield added, “Dave is just the dude. The most humble, generous, down to earth guy you’ll ever meet. I feel lucky to call him a friend. Pretty good singer too.”
