Before documenting their 1995 Vitalogy Tour through Asia and Australia, we filmed Pearl Jam’s ‘Self Pollution Radio’ broadcast on January 8th, (1995). This live one-off broadcast was offered free via syndication to any radio station that wanted to carry it.
Other Featured Artists: Soundgarden, Mad Season, Mudhoney, The Fastbacks, Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl demos), and spoken word by Krist Novoselic.
Afterwards, I was honored to be asked by Eddie Vedder to accompany Pearl Jam on tour to shoot and direct their tour experience for a movie. The 1995 Vitalogy Tour took us to Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand. Footage was heavily featured in the 2011 PJ20 documentary that was aired on PBS’s American Masters and has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
